Rate to Remit

Historical exchange rates

The rate a central bank actually published on a given day, for 102 currency pairs, back to 2001-12-10. This is the number a tax return or an invoice asks for, and it is the published reference rate — not the rate any bank or transfer service gave you on the day.

Pick a pair and a date

Published history runs from 2026-09-17 to 2026-09-17. Sources publish on working days only, so a weekend or a holiday returns the rate published before it, and says so.

What you get back

Sources publish on their own working days and pause for their own holidays, so most weekend dates were never published at all. Rather than refuse the question or invent a number, the lookup answers with the most recent publication before the date you asked for, and tells you which day that was. Where a pair is derived rather than published directly, the methodology page sets out how, and the same method applies to every day in the record.

Each pair’s own page carries the same lookup alongside its charts, yearly averages and statistics: start from all currencies to find one.
